Frequently Asked Questions

What can I serve in it?

It is ideal for pasta, risotto, soups, salads, curries and bowl-style dishes where you want depth but still an open, generous look.

How big is it?

It measures 230 mm across, with a height of 43 mm.

Will it keep food warm?

Porcelain holds heat well. For hot dishes, warm the plates first in a plate warmer or low oven if your range is oven safe, so food stays hot on the way to the table.

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. It is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. Scrape plates before washing and use a non-abrasive detergent to keep the glaze looking its best. Avoid sudden temperature shocks, like moving a piece straight from the freezer to a hot oven.

Are other AFC Bistro Cafe pieces available?

Yes. We stock other pieces from the AFC Bistro Cafe range, including the AFC Bistro Cafe Stacking Tea Cup 220 ml; the AFC Bistro Cafe Cappuccino Cup 240 ml; the AFC Bistro Cafe Tea Saucer 153 mm. Mixing pieces from one range keeps your table or back bar consistent. Contact us and we can put together the full set you need.
