Frequently Asked Questions

What size is this plate?

It measures 230 mm across, with a height of 24 mm. That suits entrees, light mains, lunch serves and desserts. If you are matching an existing plate, measure it edge to edge and compare.

Will it stack in my plate racks and plate warmers?

Plates in the same range and size stack neatly, which keeps storage tidy. Check the diameter against your plate racks, dish trolleys or warmers before ordering a large quantity, or ask our team to confirm.

How many plates should I order?

A common rule of thumb is two to three plates per seat for each size you use, so you have enough in service while others are being washed. Busy venues with fast table turns often go higher.

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. Scrape plates before washing and use a non-abrasive detergent to keep the glaze looking its best. Avoid sudden temperature shocks, like moving a piece straight from the freezer to a hot oven. It is also backed by a 5 year edge chip warranty.

Are other AFC Flinders pieces available?

Yes. We stock other pieces from the AFC Flinders range, including the AFC Flinders Wide Rim Plate 165 mm; the AFC Flinders Wide Rim Plate 205 mm; the AFC Flinders Wide Rim Plate 230 mm. Mixing pieces from one range keeps your table or back bar consistent. Contact us and we can put together the full set you need.
