Frequently Asked Questions
How do I zero the scale?
Place your empty bowl or tray on the platform, then turn the adjustment knob until the needle sits on zero. This lets you weigh only the ingredient.
How accurate is it?
The dial reads in 20 g steps up to 5 kg. For very small quantities such as yeast or spices, a digital scale with 1 g graduations is a better choice.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the platform and body with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not submerge the scale or put it in the dishwasher, as water can get into the mechanism.
Does it need batteries?
No. It is a mechanical scale, so it works without batteries or power.
Which capacity should I choose?
The 5 kg scale suits portioning and pastry work, the 10 kg scale suits general kitchen use, and the 20 kg scale handles bulk produce, meat and deliveries. Choose the smallest capacity that covers your heaviest regular load for the best readability.
