Bialetti Moka Express 6 Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker
The Bialetti Moka Express 6 Cup is the original Italian stovetop espresso maker, with its famous eight-sided aluminium body. It brews about 250 ml of rich, strong coffee, enough for small groups, breakfast tables and B&B service. It stands 21.5 cm tall with a 10.5 cm base.
It works on gas, electric and ceramic cooktops. With the Bialetti induction plate (COF324) it can also be used on an induction cooktop. A stay-cool handle and knob and Bialetti's patented safety valve make it easy to use, and it is made in Italy.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make coffee with it?
Fill the base with water just below the safety valve, fill the filter basket with ground coffee without pressing it down, screw the top on firmly and place it on medium heat. Take it off the heat as soon as the coffee starts to gurgle.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
No. Rinse it in warm water only and let it dry fully before putting it back together. Dishwasher detergent will discolour the aluminium.
Why does the first coffee taste odd?
Wash it before first use and throw away the first three brews. This seasons the pot and gives a better flavour from then on.
Does it work on induction?
Not on its own, but it can be used on induction with the Bialetti induction plate (COF324).
When should I replace the seal?
Replace the rubber seal and filter plate when coffee starts leaking around the join or the seal goes hard. The matching seal and filter set is item COF129.
