Bialetti Moka Express Seal and Filter Plate 3 & 4 Cup

A genuine Bialetti replacement seal and filter plate for the 3 & 4 cup Moka Express stovetop espresso maker (suits our COF121 and COF122). It comes as one rubber seal and one aluminium filter plate, the two parts that wear with use.

Replacing them brings back a tight seal between the top and bottom of the pot, so coffee brews properly instead of leaking or spluttering. Bialetti recommend changing the seal every so often as it hardens with heat.

How do I know it is time to replace the seal?

If coffee or steam leaks around the join, the pot is hard to screw tight, or the seal looks flat, cracked or hard, it is time for a new one.

How do I fit it?

Unscrew the pot, pull out the old seal and filter plate from the top section with a blunt tool, then press the new filter plate and seal in evenly until they sit flat.

Will it fit other brands?

It is made for Bialetti. Other brands use different sizes, so we cannot guarantee a fit.

How do I clean the filter plate?

Rinse it in warm water after each use and clear any blocked holes with a soft brush. Do not use the dishwasher.

Which size do I need?

Match the cup size on your pot. Bialetti seal sizes differ between 2, 3/4, 6 and 9 cup pots.
