Frequently Asked Questions

What size is this plate?

It measures 260 mm across, with a height of 32 mm. That suits main meals and generous lunch serves. If you are matching an existing plate, measure it edge to edge and compare.

Will it stack in my plate racks and plate warmers?

Plates in the same range and size stack neatly, which keeps storage tidy. Check the diameter against your plate racks, dish trolleys or warmers before ordering a large quantity, or ask our team to confirm.

How many plates should I order?

A common rule of thumb is two to three plates per seat for each size you use, so you have enough in service while others are being washed. Busy venues with fast table turns often go higher.

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. It is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. Scrape plates before washing and use a non-abrasive detergent to keep the glaze looking its best. Avoid sudden temperature shocks, like moving a piece straight from the freezer to a hot oven. It is also backed by a 5 year edge chip warranty.

Are other Royal Porcelain Chelsea pieces available?

Yes. We stock other pieces from the Royal Porcelain Chelsea range, including the Royal Porcelain Chelsea Salad / Cereal Bowl 140 mm, 500 ml; the Royal Porcelain Chelsea Stackable Coffee Mug 330 ml; the Royal Porcelain Chelsea Round Coupe Plate 210 mm. Mixing pieces from one range keeps your table or back bar consistent. Contact us and we can put together the full set you need.
