Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Sydney soda spoon used for?

Use it for milkshakes, thickshakes, iced coffees, sundaes, affogatos in tall glasses and layered parfaits, where a normal spoon will not reach the bottom.

Is it dishwasher safe?

It is made for commercial use. To keep the mirror finish looking its best, avoid long soaks in strong detergent, do not leave it sitting wet, and dry or rack it promptly after the wash cycle.

What other pieces are in the Sydney range?

The Sydney range covers the main pieces for a full place setting, including knives, forks and spoons in table and dessert sizes, plus teaspoons and specialty pieces. Check the matching items on our website or ask our team for the full list.

How do I stop water spots and marks on stainless cutlery?

Use a rinse aid, avoid overloading the cutlery baskets so the water can drain, and polish with a clean, dry cloth while the cutlery is still warm. Sorting by type handle-down in the cutlery cylinders also helps it dry evenly.

How many should I order?

A common rule of thumb is two to three times your seating capacity for each piece you use every service, so you have a set on the table, one in the wash and one in reserve. Talk to our team and we can help you work out quantities for Sydney.

Stainless Steel Quality

When purchasing Stainless flatware there are three main differences in quality to consider.

• 18/10
• 18/8
• 18/0

Nickel effects stainless steel and shine. Therefore, the higher the nickle content, the more protection the flatware has from corrosion.

• Cutlery that is 18/10 means that 18% is chrome and 10% is nickel
• Cutlery that is 18/8 means that 18% is chrome and 8% is nickel
• Cutlery that is 18/0 means that 18% is chrome and 0% is nickel
