The Sammic Vac-Norm container is a reinforced stainless steel Gastronorm 1/3 container, 100 mm deep, made for external vacuum packing with a Sammic vacuum packer and the Vac-Norm external vacuum kit. It suits any type of food and is especially good for liquids such as soups, stocks and sauces.

Vacuuming cooked food in a Vac-Norm container helps extend its life in the coolroom. The reinforced design will not collapse under vacuum, unlike standard GN pans. The cover, gasket, valve and connection kit are sold separately.

How does it work?

Fit a Vac-Norm cover, connect the external vacuum kit to your Sammic packer and the machine draws the air out of the container.

Can I use a normal GN pan instead?

No. Standard GN pans will not hold up under vacuum. Only use Vac-Norm containers.

Is the lid included?

No. Choose a Vac-Norm GN 1/3 cover to suit. Covers come in standard and, for 1/1 and 1/2, stainless steel versions.

What do I need to connect it?

You need the Sammic Vac-Norm external vacuum kit for your benchtop or floor model packer.

What is it best for?
