Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the glass so large?

A brandy pour is small, usually 30 to 60 ml. The large balloon gives room to swirl, lets your hand warm the spirit, and gathers the aromas at the rim.

What size is it?

It holds 540 ml, stands 147 mm high and measures 101 mm across. Stated capacities are usually measured to the brim, so a standard pour sits a little lower.

What else can I serve in it?

Cognac, armagnac, aged rum and whisky, plus large-format gin and tonics served over plenty of ice.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, it is dishwasher safe. To keep it clear and sparkling, avoid thermal shock, such as adding ice to a glass that is still hot from the washer. Store glasses upright and avoid stacking them inside each other unless they are designed to stack.

Are other Schott Zwiesel Mondial pieces available?

Yes. We stock other pieces from the Schott Zwiesel Mondial range, including the Schott Zwiesel Mondial Burgundy Glass 335 ml; the Schott Zwiesel Mondial Goblet 415 ml; the Schott Zwiesel Mondial Wine Glass 270 ml. Mixing pieces from one range keeps your table or back bar consistent. Contact us and we can put together the full set you need.
