This terracotta rubber with nitrile content floor mat measures 1550 x 930 mm and gives staff a safer, more comfortable surface to stand on behind the bar, at the pass or along a prep line. The drainage holes let spills, ice and food scraps fall through, so the top surface stays drier underfoot.

The rubber includes nitrile, which is commonly added to kitchen mats for better resistance to oils and fats, and at 12 mm thick it gives real anti-fatigue cushioning. The terracotta colour is a nice change from plain black in open kitchens and bars.

How do I clean the mat?

Lift it, shake or sweep off loose debris, then scrub with warm water and a mild detergent and hose it down. Let it dry fully before putting it back, and clean the floor underneath at the same time.

Will it slip on a wet floor?

Rubber grips well on most commercial floors, but always lay it on a clean surface and check the edges sit flat. Replace any mat that has curled or worn smooth so it does not become a trip hazard.

Can I cut it to fit my space?

Rubber mats can usually be trimmed with a sharp heavy-duty blade to suit a tight bar or bench run. Measure twice before cutting, as a trimmed mat cannot be returned.

Is a mat with holes or without holes better?

Mats with drainage holes suit wet areas such as bars, dish areas and wash-up, where liquid needs to drain away. Solid mats suit dry areas, entrances and spots where you want to sweep up easily.

How do I stop it moving around?

Make sure the floor is clean and dry before laying the mat, as grease underneath reduces grip. In very busy areas, regular cleaning of both the mat and the floor keeps it sitting flat and in place.
