What is the difference between a puree and a syrup?

A syrup adds flavour and sweetness. A fruit puree is thicker and fruit-based, so it also adds body, texture and colour, which is ideal for smoothies, frozen drinks and fruit cocktails.

How much should I use per drink?

It depends on the recipe. Start with around 30 ml for a cocktail or soda and more for a smoothie or frozen drink, then adjust to taste and record the dose so your drinks stay consistent.

How should I store it once opened?

Follow the storage directions on the bottle label once opened, keep the cap on or the pump nozzle covered, and use it within the time stated on the label. Shake well before use.

Can I use a pump with it?

Yes. The Monin 15 ml pump is made for the 1 L puree bottles and gives a measured 15 ml per press. It is sold separately.

Can I use it in blended and frozen drinks?

Yes. It blends well with ice, milk, yoghurt or juice, so it suits frozen cocktails, smoothies and shakes as well as shaken drinks.
