The KH Classik Chef polycarbonate food pan is 1/6 gastronorm size (176 x 162 mm nominal) and 100 mm deep. A sixth of a full GN opening, the classic size for sandwich and pizza bar toppings. Clear pans let staff see what is inside at a glance, which speeds up service and stock checks.

Polycarbonate is tough, lightweight and resists food acids, oils and staining, so it is ideal for cold prep, storage and display.

Can it go in the oven?

No. Polycarbonate pans are for cold use and warm holding, not ovens, grills or microwaves.

Will it fit my bain marie or prep fridge?

Yes, it fits standard 1/6 GN openings.

How do I clean it?

Wash in the dishwasher or by hand. Avoid harsh alkaline chemicals and abrasive pads, which can cloud and weaken polycarbonate.

Are lids available?

Yes. We stock 1/6 seal lids and covers with handles to suit.

Can I mix pan sizes in one opening?

Yes. Gastronorm sizes are fractions of a full 1/1 opening: two 1/2s, three 1/3s, four 1/4s, six 1/6s or nine 1/9s fill the same space, and you can mix them using divider bars where needed.
