Frequently Asked Questions

Is it for salt or pepper?

Either. Fill one with salt and one with pepper to make a pair.

Will the top rust?

The top is stainless steel. Dry it fully after washing to keep it looking its best.

How do I refill it?

Unscrew or remove the top, fill to about three quarters so it shakes freely, then refit the top.

How do I stop salt clumping?

Keep shakers away from steam and moisture, and add a few grains of rice to the salt in humid weather.

How do I clean it?

Empty it, wash the parts in warm, soapy water and dry them completely before refilling. Damp shakers cause clumping.
