Tokyo Design Studio Asakusa Bowl 14.8 x 7 cm Matsuri

The Tokyo Design Studio Asakusa Bowl is a versatile all-rounder bowl, measuring about 14.8 cm diameter x 7 cm high. It suits rice dishes, noodles, salads, soups and sides. The Asakusa collection is named after the historic Tokyo district and features characters from Japanese culture, including samurai, ninja, kabuki, matsuri (festival), geisha and sumo designs.

Made in Japan from porcelain, it is dishwasher and microwave safe, so it handles daily use as easily as it looks good on the table. It is a simple way to give a ramen bar, izakaya, sushi restaurant or Asian fusion cafe an authentic Japanese feel, and pieces from across the collection mix and match well.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I serve in it?

At about 14.8 cm diameter x 7 cm high, it suits rice dishes, noodles, salads, soups and sides.

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. It is porcelain and safe in both the dishwasher and the microwave, so it suits busy service and reheating.

How do I keep it looking its best?

Wash with a normal detergent and avoid abrasive scourers on the decorated surfaces. Stack carefully with like-sized pieces to avoid chipping the rims.

Does it match other Tokyo Design Studio pieces?

Yes. Pieces in the Asakusa collection are designed to be used together, and the Japanese patterns across Tokyo Design Studio mix well if you want a more eclectic table.

Will every piece look exactly the same?

The designs are applied to each piece, so you may see small variations in colour or pattern placement between items. That is part of the character of Japanese tableware.
