Tokyo Design Studio Crane Plate 16.5 cm Light Blue

The Tokyo Design Studio Crane Plate is a round porcelain plate, measuring about 16.5 cm diameter. It suits entrees, sushi, sides, desserts and share plates. The Crane collection features the crane, a traditional Japanese symbol of good fortune, in soft light blue or pink.

Made in Japan from porcelain, it is dishwasher and microwave safe, so it handles daily use as easily as it looks good on the table. It is a simple way to give a ramen bar, izakaya, sushi restaurant or Asian fusion cafe an authentic Japanese feel, and pieces from across the collection mix and match well.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I serve on it?

At about 16.5 cm diameter, it suits side plates, sushi, gyoza and desserts.

Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes. It is porcelain and safe in both the dishwasher and the microwave, so it suits busy service and reheating.

How do I keep it looking its best?

Wash with a normal detergent and avoid abrasive scourers on the decorated surfaces. Stack carefully with like-sized pieces to avoid chipping the rims.

Does it match other Tokyo Design Studio pieces?

Yes. Pieces in the Crane collection are designed to be used together, and the Japanese patterns across Tokyo Design Studio mix well if you want a more eclectic table.

Will every piece look exactly the same?

The designs are applied to each piece, so you may see small variations in colour or pattern placement between items. That is part of the character of Japanese tableware.
