Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean it?

Hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry straight away, then stand it on its edge to air dry. Do not soak it or put it through the dishwasher, as acacia can split or warp with long exposure to water and heat.

How do I keep it looking good?

Rub in a light coat of food-safe board oil every few weeks, or whenever the wood looks dry. This helps it resist stains and moisture.

Can I cut on it?

You can, but knife marks will show over time. Many venues keep presentation boards for serving and use a separate board for cutting.

Is every board identical?

No. It is a natural timber product, so the grain and colour vary a little from board to board. That is part of the appeal.

What foods suit it?

Charcuterie, cheese, bread, share plates, burgers, pizzas and dessert platters all present well on timber.
